Size 58ft x 14ft 10ins.Built in 1910 this barge was originally sail but is now powered by an original (although refurbished)Lister JP2 engine with new shaft and new propeller. Sides are of Cromweld (S.African stainless steel) Although converted to a spacious liveaboard she still retains some of her original features, including tiller steering. There is an engine room, workshop, two toilets, lounge with galley comprising of 2 burner hob with oven and grill, stainless steel sink and drainer, double bedroom with ensuite toilet and shower and also office space in the original crews quarters. Heated by gas central heating she also has a wood/coal burning stove. She was spray foam insulated when converted. Originally used on the Dearne and Dove canal she was also used as a trip boat on the Sheffield canal. Believed to be the last one left out of six built for use on the Dearne and Dove. Two winches, anchor and chain. Safety certificate 2011 |

Built in 1992 by S Bennet on a design by Percy Dalton and fitted out by J S Cowley this Gaff Rig has been owned by the same owner for the past 18 years and is only up for sale now due to them needing a bigger boat. Wood alloy furling boom, stainless steel standing rigging which was replaced in 2006, braide on braide running rigging and mainsail rigging. The tan coloured sails were all new in 2006 and consists of Mainsail, No 1 Jib, Staysail and Topsail. She has two Genoa winches and two halyard winches. Simpson Lawrence anchor winch plus bow roller. She has a BMC 4 cylinder 1-5 diesel engine coupled to a Hurth gear box through aqua drive coupling to shaft. Wheel and tiller steering. When she was fitted out she was spray foam insulated and the fit out was in oak. Accommodation comprises of four berths in two cabins with good headroom. Good storage. Galley with Nelson spin flo cooker, space for fridge. Separate toilet (sea) and shower compartment. Hot and cold water. Reflex diesel cabin heating.Comes with wind depth speed log, Navtex plus GPS plus GMDSS radio, Windscreen wiper. There are electric and manual bilge pumps, a 12v bilge blower - access to all bilges through inspection hatches. 240v plus 12v electrical system. Isolating transformer to 240v system. |
