This Nelson 45 is in very good condition and has benefited from regular maintenance. She has until recently been used as a training vessel and was MCA coded. This has now lapsed, but it would take very little to bring her back to coding standard.
Recently both main engines have been re-built and have only run 20 hours since. Serviced 2019.
All her plumbing has been renewed.
Main electrics have been replaced, except the wiring in the roof as there have been no issues with it.
New Gas Cooker with oven, two burner gas hob and grill
The woodwork on the coach roof has been replaced along the sides. Parts that have not needed replacement have been treated and repainted.
The props are turned regularly and the engines turned at the same time.
Her deck is teak and original. This has been looked at by John Hill and they have said there is plenty of life left in them.
Life rafts were rented and have gone back. The two life raft cradles are in place.
In 2018/9 her paint work was completely stripped back to the wood, primed and repainted.
Since all the work was done she has been in undercover storage.
Classic Nelson 45 in very good condition for her age. Engines recently re-built. a great chance to aquire one of these legendary vessels at a very modest price.
2 x Ford Mermaid Dorset turbo charged marine diesel engines. Total Power: 520hp - 260hp each engine.
6 x Cylinders each engine.

Both engines were reconditioned in 2017 and approx. Approx engine Hrs since rebuild 20hrs.

There are 24volt electrics throughout supplied by 8 x 12 volt batteries which in turn are charged by the engine alternators. Also 240v shore power or Gen set assisted Victron battery charger.

Superstructure is of high quality Marine Ply.
Interior finish of Mahogany and Mahogany faced Marine Ply. Upholstery finished to a solid Blue cloth.

There are 6/7 berths below decks as follows. Arrangement from forward.
Forward cabin has two single berths in 'V' formation with good stowage below berths. Heads to Port side of Frd. cabin and hanging locker and stowage cupboard and drawers to Starboard.
Saloon has 'U' shaped settee to Port side with large dining table this converts to a double berth. good stowage above and below settee arrangement. Galley is situated opposite to Starboard in Saloon and is a 'L' shape with good work surface area lockers and cupboards. Sink, New Two Burner Cooker with oven and grill, Fridge.
Wheelhouse has Helm position to Port side with helm seat and Chart Table settee which can make an occassional berth. Starboard side of wheelhouse has Nav Table passenger seat and cupboard and shelving aft.
Aft Cabin has large large single berth to Port and Starboard side out boards also ensuite Heads and large hanging locker and cupboard space.
Two new windows required. One on the bridge and one in the aft cabin.
Hull will require painting at some time in the future.
